Microsoft hates us all, so the new Windows 11 update removes the Begin menu.

Microsoft appears to have delivered yet another dodgy Windows 11 update. Reports suggest that the two most recent collective updates have triggered severe concerns about the Begin menu.

These updates are KB5015882 as well as KB5015814. It appears they have created an insect that causes the Beginning menu to disappear when you click to open them.

This is a significant concern considering how vital the Beginning menu to Windows 11 is. It’s also a pointer to the dark days of the Windows 10 update when Microsoft temporarily highlighted updates that seemed to cause more problems than they solved.

Windows 11 updates are now much more reliable, but we don’t want to see Microsoft revert to its old ways.

Windows Latest records (opens in brand-new tab) Microsoft claims that few people have noticed that there is a problem. It publishes that it has received reports that some gadgets might not be able to access the Beginning menu. Clicking or selecting the Beginning switch or using the Windows trick on the keyboard could not affect impacted tools.

This indicator is excellent because it shows that Microsoft is aware of the problem and is actively working to fix it.

How to fix problems with Windows 11’s Start menu

This is an excellent option for anyone with a problem gadget. Microsoft has launched an emergency upgrade server-side that should resolve the issue immediately. However, your device may take up to 24 hours to receive it.

You can also download the Windows 11 21H2KB5014668 220721_04201 Recognized issue Rollback (opens in new tab), which will roll back the upgrade to fix the issue.

Microsoft recommends that you restart your tool to speed up the recovery process.

We applaud Microsoft’s quick response to this issue. Let’s hope this unfavorable upgrade is a one-off, not a sign of more Windows 11 problems.
